| History | |||||
|
Tom Ewing established the company in 1982. He started off small, working to fulfill the needs of local businesses. He did mostly hand-painted lettering at that time. The next decade was an exciting period in the sign and vehicle graphics industry. The industry moved away from paint and went more towards die cut vinyl graphics designed on computers. Designs could be stored on disk and re-cut to accommodate growth in fleets and businesses. Today, the focus is shifting towards printed graphics and full body vehicle wraps. Ewing is leveraging its experience with vehicle and fleet graphics installation and partnering with larger companies to do business all over the country and the world. |

| Graphic Design | |||||

Creating the right design is a very important step in the process. We employ full time graphic designers who are well versed with the standards and practices to get your message across. It all comes down to correct use of negative space, prioritization of copy, and good use of contrast to make your message bold and clear. It is important to get the design right before fabrication. This helps to keep expenses down and also mistakes at this level are less costly than mistakes later in the process. |

Materials will need to be created for your job. Decals will have to be either die cut, printed or a combination of both. Sign substrate may have to be cut and assembled. Vinyl will have to be weeded and taped. We have the equipment and staff on site to handle all of this. We have three plotters for die cutting decals, a Roland Sol Jet printer for printing and cutting decals, a Seal laminator for laminating decals, and a weeding and transfer taping station with a light table. We can create your custom shaped substrate onsite too. We stock the materials needed. |

| Installation | |||||

Once the materials are put together for a job, they will need to be installed. We have the staff and equipment on hand for this part of the process as well. Whether we're installing a post and panel sign, dimensional lettering on the side of a building, or wrapping your company vehicle or fleet, we have the tools and experience to get the job done. Currently our 6000 sq ft facility has the capacity for indoor installation of three 53' trailers. It has two full wash bays with infrared heating to facilitate quick turnaround times in all types of weather. Our shop houses a number of electric scissor lifts to tackle high jobs, a tractor for moving trailers, and an enclosed trailer for on-location jobs. |

We have full time staff to support these functions. Sure, it's not as glamorous as creating and installing vehicle graphics, but we can't do what we do without our support staff. (And if we don't mention them and thank them here, they might not pay us.) |

These are the people who create and support the infrastructure that helps us do what we do efficiently. We have a special nerd farm where we grow Network Administrators, Application Programmers, Help Desk staff and yes, Web Designers. (Just kidding. We don't have the farm. It's just so easy to pick on the IT staff. You can't give them too many wedgies though, or suddenly you can't access the file server.) Seriously, though, our shop is wired with gigabit Ethernet and is also equipped with 802.11g wireless networking. We have trained technicians that help keep the place running. We designed our shop with one purpose in mind: to serve you! |
